Three new CD's are out on which I was honored and delighted to be a guest artist.
Mike Dowling, a tremendous guitarist and singer from Wyoming, has a great recording called The Blues Ain't News. I play harmonica on three of the tunes. Orville Johnson and John Miller appear on mandolin and guitar, respectively, and Cary Black plays acoustic bass. It's a very strong record. Please check it out on Mike's website www.mikedowling.com
Eric Bibb has a couple of new CD's out. The north American version is called Get Onboard. I play harmonica on a few tunes and Bonnie Raitt and Ruthie Foster are among several other guest musicians. It is a diverse and excellent recording.
The European version is called Spirit I Am. This is a two-CD set. The first CD is the same as the American with a slightly different tune order. It also has a second CD of field recordings; just Eric and his voice and guitar on some classic old blues and folk tunes. I join him for a sweet version of Stagolee.
