Orville Johnson – Monster musician and producer. A Northwest institution.An incredible dobro, mandolin and guitar player and a deeply moving, powerful singer. Orville and I play in a band with the incomperable John Miller.
 
Jim Page – A singer songwriter of great depth and honesty. He is an excellent guitar player as well. I had the pleasure of recording with Jim on several of his CD's.
 
Frank Fotusky – An amazing guitarist and singer from New Jersey. we had a blast touring this summer and we plan to record a CD together late in 06.
 
Scott Law – A tremendously gifted musician. Equally at home with an electric band, an acoustic group or as a solo artist. Scott and I play together in The Harmonicasters.
 
Port Townsend Country Blues Festival – A must for any blues lover. The festival is run by Centrum, an organization which also offers week-long learning sessions in old-time music, jazz, and literary work.
 
Reggie Garrett and Gary Westcott – Are an excellent duo from the Northwest. Both incredible singers and multi-instrumentalists.
 
Richie Stearns – The best banjo player I have played with, He is also an excellent songwriter.
 
Dave Pellicciaro – A huge wave of sound and energy. As good a B-3 player as you are likely to hear.
 
Cephas and Wiggins – Simply put, the premier acoustic blues duo working today.
 
Mark Galbo – Master musician and teacher, Director of the The Rock and Roll Academy, in Telluride Colorado. Great guitarist in the Piedmont acoustic blues tradition.
 
Mark Graham – The best old-time harmonica player that I have heard. He is also a very clever songwriter and a great clarinetist. He plays in a duo with Orville Johnson called The Kings of Mongrel Folk.
 
Joe Filisko – Master-level harmonica player, teacher, historian, and technician. Lives in Joliet Illinois. Travels the world, playing and teaching.
 
Dennis Gruenling – Monster player out of New Jersey. Can swing on diatonic or chromatic with the best of them.
 
Dan Crary – Bluegrass guitar maestro. Incredible player. I am on his recording, Renaissance of the Steel String Guitar.
 
Billy Oskay – Recording wizard out of Portland Oregon. Runs Big Red Studios, also is an amazingly gifted violinist.
 
David Lange – The acoustic recording engineer of choice in the Seattle area. I do all my own recording with him. He also is a highly accomplished pianist and accordian player.

Augusta Bluesweek Week-long blues camp in Elkins, West Virginia, usually in early July. An excellent musical experience. Augusta also has many other theme music weeks including old-time, cajun, and bluegrass, and teaches other, non-musical art forms as well.

Donald Black – An incredible harmonica player from Scotland. Plays traditional tunes with both warmth and fire.
